Wilko’s Wacky Wetsuits
A few days before the Rip Curl Pro Bells the picture below of Matt Wilkinson in a new wetsuit surfaced and it got me thinking of all the other suits he’s worn recently. More »
Rip Curl Omega Wetsuit
Times were a whole lot different back in the mid 80′s but it seems some of the fashion trends from back then are starting to make a comeback. To celebrate Tom Curren’s 30th anniversary with Rip Curl they are re-releasing the wetsuit Curren wore during his back to back world championships in 1985 and 1986. The Omega, which used to be Rip Curl’s signature wetsuit is getting a huge update in way of wetsuit technology but still looks exactly the same as it did in the 80′s. More »
Defunkify Your Wetsuit
The waster is warming up around here on the East Coast and a lot of us have already begun shedding some of the thicker rubber. Before you stow away your winter suit and gear for the summer it’s probably a good idea to give it a good cleaning. The guys over at Korduroy.tv put together this great “how to” video that shows how to remove the stank and funk from your wetsuit. More »
Funky Hurley Wetsuits at the US Open
If you haven’t been watching this year’s US Open of Surfing, you most definitely should be. The waves may not be as good as they were last year but the level of surfing has been phenomenal so far. This post isn’t about the surfing though, it’s about the wetsuits Hurley has given to it’s surf team to wear during the contest. More »
Xcel’s Infiniti Drylock Boots
The new Xcel Infiniti Drylock Boots look amazing. Like most boots, they have top velcro straps to keep the water out from getting into the boot. Xcel has created the “Thermobamboo” system that creates a seal without having top velcro straps that keeps the water out. The slip-toe is for no leash hangups, the velcro across the instep helps with a heel and toe support for a snug fit. With the cut-out sole system, it lets you have maximum flexibility. Xcel is also nominated in the “Accessory Product of the Year” category for the Infiniti Drylock boot. They come in a 3mm and 5mm and two different colors (black/gum and black/grey). The 3mm are $59.95 and the 5mm are $62.50, click here to grab a pair. More »

The DryGuy Boot & Glove Dryer solves your problems by fully drying your equipment before they have any time to build up odors. The HangAir
The HangAir seems like it’s a dope product. There is nothing worse than having to put on a wet-cold wetsuit in the winter, let alone in general. Basically it is an over-sized plastic hanger with a built-in motorized fan that forces air throughout the suit in a faster time than it would take by just drip-drying the suit. Underwater Kinetics says during experiments and reviews that the HangAir speeds up the drying process by 70 percent. The HangAir will completely dry any suits from a 3/2 to a full hooded 5/4 overnight. You can purchase one of these for $49.99, click here. More »

Mick Fanning’s green wetsuit in support of Enviroweek
Fanning is stepping it up this year in the whole ‘green’ movement. He announced earlier this month that he would be an ambassador for Australia’s Enviroweek. He then went to his sponsor, Rip Curl, and they came up with the idea for him to rock a fresh looking green wetsuit. Not only is the color green but apparently it is made up of some eco friendly materials and is part of Rip Curl’s new foundation called Rip Curl Planet. You can’t buy Fanning’s green suit but there is a whole line of products available on their website. More »
