Okay East Coast, here we go! The third tropical storm of the season is making his way through the southern Atlantic and it’s looking like we’ll see some waves from this storm. Although Colin won’t have the strength we hope for, as the NHC says Colin won’t reach Hurricane status, his track is looking great and it should send a decent shot of swell to much of the east coast.

The first part of the 2010 hurricane season has been somewhat slow, only seeing two other named storms with Hurricane Alex and Tropical Storm Bonnie. But, this is the time of the year where the number of storms we see in the Atlantic ramps up dramatically. So even if Colin doesn’t produce the epic swell we’re hoping for, there are still plenty of possibilities for the rest of the summer.
