Long Story Short

Longboarding is undeniably a lost art form. Most shortboarders get annoyed when longboarders are in the lineup. But they are wave artists. They don’t need to speed down the line searching for a ramp to execute a slob grab. Longboarders slow it down and enjoy the ride. They are about style, flow and technique. It’s probably the purest form of surfing and it deserves a lot more credit than it receives. In a short film by Long Island-bred filmmaker Hayley Gordon, “Long Story Short” highlights female longboarding stars Kassia Meador, Jen Smith and Margaux Arramon-tucoo.  These ladies glide through the water beautifully with their toes on the nose, cherishing each ride. It’s definitely worth a watch.
