New Jersey Shark Feeding Frenzy

Posted on August 18th, 2012 by

New Jersey photographer Tom Lynch, owner of AngryFish.tv, filmed a rare sight on Aug. 16. What appeared to be only about 50 yards offshore from a beach in Ocean County, brown sharks and sand tiger sharks were flopping out of the water attempting to ravage a school of bunker fish for dinner.

It’s always interesting to see sharks so close to shore in the Northeast, let alone propelling themselves out of the water while feeding. This is a nice edition to our site for Shark Week!
