Waimea River Surfing

This video was going around the web a few weeks ago but I never got to posting it. The Waimea River in Hawaii dumps into the ocean but sometimes it gets backed up and needs a little help breaking through the beach. A handful of locals and some other surfers dug out a path for the water to flow and after a while a pretty fun standing wave formed.
