Barney Miller and Friends
At the age of 19, Barney Miller was an upcoming surfer in Australia and making a living owning his own white water rafting business. In 1998, he was in a horrible car accident that almost killed him resulting him being a quadriplegic. Once you make surfing a part of your life, no matter what happens to you, it will always remain a part of your life and you will do everything you can to get in the water and catch a few waves.
Luckily for Barney, he’s got a lot of people that care for him, including good friend Mick Fanning. This past winter while in Hawaii, Mick and a few others took Barney out on a “smaller” day at Sunset Beach and pushed him into a bunch of waves. The video is super inspiring and puts a smile on my face.
