If anyone remembers the short-lived Swellster social network from the early 2000s, you’ll be happy to know that a similar, but way improved, social media tool for surfers is about to be unleashed. And it’s the first of its kind! Surfr, developed by award winning design company Pixil Agency , is a new app for iPhone that logs surfing experiences. It displays your mobile uploads, spot check-ins and swell info in one easily navigatable package. Billabong.com Hacked / 35k Passwords Leaked

If you follow any bit of tech news you’ve probably heard of websites recently being hacked and then thousands of username and passwords being leaked on the internet. It’s happened to sites like LinkedIn, Last.fm, and even Yahoo. Usually these things stay within tech news and don’t warrant us posting about it. However, last week I read that Billabong.com had been hacked and 35,000 emails and passwords had been leaked and that certainly qualifies for a post on this site. More »
