The Hunt: Hurricane Earl
Alek Parker, Ben Bourgeois, and their crew continued their hunt for epic waves when they followed Hurricane Earl up the east coast in early September and met up with some waves in North Carolina. More »

Hurricane Igor New York
Hurricane season is in full swing in the Atlantic. The last storm to send waves our way was the mighty Hurricane Igor. At one point, Igor was a very strong Category 4 storm packing winds of up to 155mph. He was also a very large storm covering close to 1000 miles from top to bottom. Thanks to Igor’s track, he sent Long Island and most of the east coast a couple days of really good waves. Luckily for us, Evan Conway of Red Dawn Productions was out there getting some pretty epic shots of the swell. More »

Tropical Storm Colin
Okay East Coast, here we go! The third tropical storm of the season is making his way through the southern Atlantic and it’s looking like we’ll see some waves from this storm. Although Colin won’t have the strength we hope for, as the NHC says Colin won’t reach Hurricane status, his track is looking great and it should send a decent shot of swell to much of the east coast. July Swell Water Shots
New York and most of the Northeast saw a pretty fun run of waves this past weekend. I was in the water all day Saturday and it was one of those perfect summertime surfing days. The crowds were thin, water is warm enough to trunk it, there was a decent size swell in the water and by late day the winds had gone offshore. Long Island summer swell at it’s best. Meanwhile further east on the island, our friend Evan Conway from Red Dawn Productions was out in his backyard enjoying the waves and capturing the waves with his camera. Hurricane Alex
It’s official. As per the 10pm public advisory from the NOAA, the first hurricane of the 2010 Atlantic Hurricane Season is Hurricane Alex. This is also the first Atlantic hurricane in the month of June since 1995. Alex is right on the border of hurricane status, packing winds of 75mph and gusts of 85mph, making him a very weak Category 1. More »
Lifted Research Group Boardshorts
Lifted Research Group better known as LRG is a creative lifestyle clothing company based out of Santa Ana, California and they are releasing a line of boardshorts for this summer. They aren’t really known for their surf products but after these baggies drop we’ll see where they stand. The designs are pretty sick but I’m interested in seeing how good these things do after being worn in the water for a couple hours. No one likes rashes, no matter how cool your shorts look. More »
