Dusty Payne’s Tahiti Quiver

August 16th, 2012 by John Zanussi

Dusty Payne missed the first four events of the this year’s ASP World Tour with an ankle injury. When the injury first happened Dusty wasn’t sure of when he’d be back in competition form but that time is now. Although not full recovered, he will be surfing at the Billabong Pro Tahiti in the second heat against Taj Burrow and Damien Hobgood. Dusty’s board sponsor, JS Industries, posted a couple of shots of his eleven board quiver that he has to choose from for the Tahiti event. Also below is a video of Dusty talking about his injury, recovery process, and the tour. More »

The Rip Curl Pro Bells contest starts up in a couple of days and the fine people over at Channel Islands Surfboards have granted us all a look at Kelly Slater’s quiver. The small differences in these six boards wouldn’t matter much to any normal surfer but to the 11 time world champ every 1/8 inch matters More »

Kelly Slater’s Pipeline Quiver

December 9th, 2011 by John Zanussi

Rounds one and two of the Billabong Pipe Masters are completed and round 3 hits the water today. If the conditions are anything like yesterday’s double to triple overhead waves we’ll probably see most guys riding boards well over 6 feet long again. Not Kelly Slater though. Yesterday during the webcast, Slates mentioned that he’d probably be out there riding a 5’11”. The guy is a nut. More so, the 11 time world champ only has one board over 6 foot in his quiver for Pipe. Take a look at the boards he’ll be choosing from before his round 3 heat starts today. But, according to his main board sponsord, Channel Islands, it is officially official (a little redudundent?).  Not only that, but they’re giving us a look into Mr. 10 time World Champ’s quiver for the first contest of the year. Taylor Knox on his Fort Knox Model

March 5th, 2010 by John Zanussi

Taylor Knox looking super siked and on top of his game on his Channel Islands ‘Fort Knox’ Model. Even being the second oldest guy on the ASP World Tour, he puts it away with his power house turns and cut backs in the sport of surfing hands down. Taylor is just killing it and ripping the crap out of these waves, the board looks super good under his feet. More »

Kelly Slater Testing Quiver

March 3rd, 2010 by John Zanussi

Slater testing out his weird and crazy quiver at Rincon before heading to the Gold Coast for the Quiksilver Pro event. He still rips so freakishly hard on the most strangest boards you’ll see. He is always experimenting his equipment, I wonder what hes going to end up riding…? More »
