If you happened to miss finals day at the 2013 Quiksilver Pro Gold Coast, you should be kicking yourself. Following a series of uneventful lay days at Snapper Rocks, the contest moved down to Kirra for its abundant, near-perfect, spitting barrels and a series of finals that kept everyone on the edge of their seat. Quiksilver Pro Gold Coast Heat Match-Ups
The first contest of the 2013 tour, the Quiksilver Pro Gold Coast, officially starts this weekend. With the waiting period set to run from March 2nd to March 13th we’ll be sure to see the world’s best throw down at Snapper Rocks, Australia. The preliminary forecasts are looking like there will be some decent waves for the first couple days with some more swell for the future. Kelly Slater Flies Over New York
Last year the world’s best surfers all arrived in New York for the most lucrative surf contest ever, the Quiksilver Pro New York. Late in the semifinals Kelly Slater had his back up against the wall to Taj Burrow and needed a huge score .
