Gabriel Medina’s History-Making Backflip
In the past few days, this video of Brazilian WTC rookie Gabriel Medina landing a perfect backflip at Off-The-Wall has gone pretty viral (at least in the surfing industry). Videos, .gifs and pictures of the sequence has infiltrated Facebook, Twitter, Tumblr and Pinterest. Flynn Novak was said to be the only surfer to successfully pull off this move, but Medina changed that piece of history last week on the North Shore. This kid really is revolutionizing the sport. Last winter, Dark Fall Productions filmed a short video on the North Shore featuring Kalani Chapman, Flynn Novak, TJ Barron, Bruce Irons, Keali’i Mamala and more.
