“Fire And Water”: More Than a NY Surf Documentary

April 11th, 2012 by Samantha Rupert

Rarely, there comes a time when I fall in love with a story—when I discover a story that is about more than surfing, more than news, more than money and more than just plain inspiration.  Instead, it’s a story about irrevocable passion and spirit of life. July 25th, 2011 by John Zanussi

A surfer, high school math teacher, and coach of the Long Beach HS surf team has gone missing in Indonesia Sunday morning. While on a surf trip in Sumatra, Daniel Bobis, 32, was surfing with a friend when he took off on a wave and never paddled back out. Moments later his board washed up on the shore with no sign of Daniel. This is crazy sad and my condolences go out to Daniel’s family as they continue to search for Daniel. More »
