ASP Announces Quiksilver Pro in New York

  It is official! Quiksilver and the ASP just announced that the event scheduled for the East Coast on the 2011 tour will in fact, take place in Long Beach, New York. There was a ton of speculation and rumors about this when the ASP released the 2011 tour schedule back in November and now it’s going to happen. The contest will take place from September 4-15 on one of the beaches in Long Beach. More »

2011 ASP Event in New York?

  There have been rumors milling around the past couple weeks that when the ASP released the schedule for the 2011 tour that there would be stop in New York on the list. I first read about it earlier this past week on ESM’s website, in a little story about how one of them had overhead a Top 34 surfer speaking about the possibility of the ASP bringing a World Tour Event to the East Coast and more specifically, New York. Last month we had some hectic nor’easters roll through the region which meant we had a handful of days with good surf and clean conditions.
