Greg Noll Collection by Billabong

When I hear the name Greg Noll, the first thing to pop into my head is the infamous picture of him standing on the beach in front of macking Pipeline (see above). Noll was known as Da Bull and is one of surfing’s original badasses. He was was one of the first guys to consistently charge big waves in the ’60s and he’s even credited as the first one to surf outside reef Pipeline. To differentiate himself from other guys in the water he started wearing black and white stripped shorts. Jump to present time and Da Bull has teamed up with Billabong to create the Greg Noll Collection which includes a modern version of those old, now signature, surf trunks. More »

Greg Noll is one of surfing’s original badasses. Better known as “Da Bull”, he is an iconic figure in the early days of surfing and riding big waves. Billabong put together this pretty rad little documentary that features Noll talking about the good ol’ days of being a badass and how he got to wearing those signature black and white stripped “jailhouse” shorts. Kieren Perrow Wins Billabong Pipe Masters

It only took the first three days of the twelve day waiting period to complete the 2011 Billabong Pipe Masters in Memory of Andy Irons. This event was easily the most exciting event of the entire year. The waves pumped for three straight days and the world’s best surfed their asses off. Australian Kieren Perrow, who made it all the way to the finals at last year’s Pipe Masters finally got a win at a world tour event after being on tour for 9 years by defeating fellow Aussie Joel Parkinson in the finals. Billabong Pipe Masters Wave of the Day

In a day of epic conditions at the Billabong Pipe Masters, surprisingly there was only one wave ridden for a perfect 10.
