Naff le Skell T-Shirts First Look and Interview

June 29th, 2010 by John Zanussi

New York photographer Matt Clark has been working quietly on his new project for some time now. It’s called Naff le Skell and it is a line of t-shirts designed by Matt himself. These aren’t your typical “surf brand” shirts with a colorful logo and some waves on them. The shirts included in the summer line have a real fresh and unique feel to them. I’ve already ordered two and can’t wait until some new designs drop. Clark has definitely put a lot of time into the collection and it really shows in the designs. We asked him a few questions about Naff le Skell, like how he got started with the shirts and where the name came from. We’ve also got a full gallery of photos he took of the collection while on a surf trip in Nicaragua. The shirts are currently on sale online and in select stores. More info, the whole interview, and the gallery can be seen after the jump…. More »

Still Filthy Artist Series from Billabong

March 17th, 2010 by John Zanussi

The team over at Billabong Australia has let their design artists run wild with a new collection following their recent surf flick. Dubbed the ” Still Filthy Collection”, it is a series of t-shirts that have been designed without any rules or constraints on creative direction from above and it certainly shows on the shirts. These things are a little pricey at $50-$60 a pop but they are printed on long line bamboo cotton and are definitely one of a kind. You can pick these up at your local shop or Billabong retailers. We also heard, that they will be releasing another line of shirts this August so keep your eyes peeled for those too. More »

Lee Scratch Perry for Supreme T-Shirts

March 3rd, 2010 by John Zanussi

Lee Scratch Perry is one of the most influential reggae artists to ever live. He’s helped pave the way for reggae music and brought the dub style, along with many other reggae sub genres, popular worldwide. He has influenced many past and present artists across all types of music and got to work with some of the other greats like Marley, Max Romeo, and Junior Murvin. Although Perry is in his 70’s, he is still making music and art and keeping with his roots in music. Now he’s teemed up with Supreme and they are releasing two dope t-shirts at their stores. The shirts feature original artwork and written words from musical genius himself. You can get these shirts when they drop on March 4th in NYC and LA and on March 6th in Japan. More »
