Hurricane Irene Lights Up The Northeast

by

Hurricane Irene started out as a broad tropical wave off the west coast of Africa and matured into one of the most damaging storm to wreak havoc on the East Coast in many years. Hurricane Irene caused power outages for over 1 million people, knocked down trees and power lines, flooded rivers, and caused 40 plus deaths from North Carolina all the way up to Maine. However, it wasn’t just damage and devastation that Irene caused, she also sent a ton of waves to the area. The photos we have below are mostly from New Jersey but it gives you a good glimpse into how good it can on the Right Coast when the tropics heat up in late summer.
