The 2010 US Open of Surfing presented by Hurley started this past Saturday. The waves aren’t nearly as good as they were last year, but that doesn’t mean that surfing isn’t going down. They have been running heats in all divisions since Saturday and the competition is just starting to heat up! More

Okay East Coast, here we go! The third tropical storm of the season is making his way through the southern Atlantic and it’s looking like we’ll see some waves from this storm. Although Colin won’t have the strength we hope for, as the NHC says Colin won’t reach Hurricane status, his track is looking great and it should send a decent shot of swell to much of the east coast. I remember all throughout my years in school getting super bored during a class and then dozing off only to think about perfect peeling right handers or nicely shaped a-frames. I’d snap out of it and draw some rendition of it on a notebook. I’m not the most artistic person so the sketch would never look as good as I pictured it.
