Kelly Slater And Angus Stone Collaborate On “Here And Now” Soundtrack
If Kelly Slater decides to forego a 12th world title in 2013, he might have a promising music career–that is when he’s not busy with his wave pool project. I always imagined Kelly strumming along with a little ukelele watching the sets roll in, but I was unaware of his advanced music talents. Kelly teamed up with Australian folk singer, and fellow surfer, Angus Stone to lay tracks for Taylor Steele’s “Here And Now.” More »

Summer Reggae Marathon
One of the things that makes the 4th of July weekend my favorite weekend of the year is WUSB 90.1 FM’s annual summer reggae marathon. In it’s 19th year running, the marathon is three straight days of non-stop reggae music. The marathon will begin on Thursday July 5th at 10pm and run all the way through to Sunday July 8th at 11:59pm. More »

Not only does Surf Ambassador Hendo have a pretty rad blog but he also pushes out funky mixtapes from time to time. His latest is for the summer and basically invokes an instant dance party. Tuesday Tunes (April 3rd, 2012)
On a daily basis I listen to a lot of music. Driving, walking, working, commuting, whatever it is, my headphones are usually on and I’m jammin’ to something. Up until yesterday, this site has lacked posts on music and we’re setting out to change that. Yesterday we posted some rad songs from recent surf movies and today I’m stating a new weekly post called Tuesday Tunes. Surf Movie Soundtrack Favorites
We all like surf movies for different reasons. They’re beautiful, almost poetic and they pump us up. But, music can make or break a surf movie. If you see a surf clip with some gnarly tube action or choppy aerial sequences, you want the music to fit snugly with that footage. Lost Atlas Soundtrack
Lost Atlas, one of the best surf movies to be released in 2011 is one of Kai Neville’s many masterpieces as a filmmaker. Lost Atlas features superb surfing from guys like Dion Agius, Owen Wright, Craig Anderson, Jordy Smith, Dane Reynolds, Evan Geiselman, Conner Coffin, Kolohe Andino, Julian Wilson and a bunch more. Along with the great surfing and excellent cinematography, Lost Atlas also packs a soundtrack made up of twenty one eclectic songs.
