New York Surf Film Festival Outlines 2012 Official Program

The New York Surf Film Festival (NYSFF) recently revealed its final list of selections for the 2012 film program. Wavescape Auctions Surfboard Art In Hamptons

South African-based surf festival entity Wavescape raised over $10,200 (R85,000) in an auction in Amagansett, NY last week to benefit the Hoops4Hope and the Isiqalo Foundation charities, which aim to help kids in African countries. More »

Barefoot Wine Beach Rescue / Long Beach

Hey Long Island, clear your schedule for Saturday afternoon and get down to Long Beach for the Barefoot Wine Beach Rescue Project. The Surfrider Foundation and Barefoot Wines have teamed up to host this cleanup and cleanups like it all over the country. New York Premiere of Quiksilver’s No Agenda

Unsound Surf Shop’s 3rd Surf Art Show

Unsound Surf Shop in Long Beach is hosting their 3rd annual art show and auction this weekend. The show will feature art and photography from creative minds from all over the globe. Along with the art there will also be a silent auction, live music, food, and drinks. All proceeds from the silent auction will benefit Boarding For Breast Cancer and the Tommy Brull Foundation. Long Beach Surfing Access Schedule for Summer 2012

Thanks to a gigantic effort by the Long Beach Surfer’s Association headed up by Billy Kufferman access to surfing beaches in Long Beach this summer has changed for the better. Last night the official summer surfing beaches schedule was announced and it’s a huge upgrade from past years. It’s fair to both regular beachgoers and surfers and as long as people respect the rules, surfing access in Long Beach should no longer be an issue. More »

Innsection New York Premieres

Another year of surfing, filming, editing, and voting has taken place in Taylor Steele’s Innersection project. Now that all the final sections are locked in, it’s time to for the premiere. Last year, New York was lucky enough to host the world premiere of Innersection. Unfortunately for us, this year’s world premiere will be in Hawaii.
