Funky Hurley Wetsuits at the US Open

If you haven’t been watching this year’s US Open of Surfing, you most definitely should be. The waves may  not be as good as they were last year but the level of surfing has been phenomenal so far. This post isn’t about the surfing though, it’s about the wetsuits Hurley has given to it’s surf team to wear during the contest.

Not sure what Hurley was thinking when they designed and made these wetsuits but they sure do stand out and I’ve never seen anything like it. There isn’t any info on the internet about them except for what I’ve herd the commentators say during the live webcast. I’m kind of on the fence about how I feel about them. If you don’t have a clue what I’m talking about check the pictures of Rob Machado and Evan Geiselman wearing the suits. They are the only photos I could find.

If you love these wetsuits, don’t get your hopes up because I highly doubt these things will be worn by anyone outside of the US Open let alone go into mass production.
