I’m a metalhead…. and i’m hearing all these stuff about the bass not being enough. Well, bass is really important in metal music, so do yo recommend this headphone for me, or not?

these are superb headphones indeed, but a bit expensive in reality. The sound quality is above average but lacking in bass tones compared to the warmth of the mids and fidelity of the treble. The construction on the other hand is sturdy and simple, which mean they will last longer. The ear pads are the softest of any headphones i’ve had, way softer than skullcandy’s other top-of-the-line SK Pro. But when compared to the SK Pro, the sound of the Aviators is not quite as punchy. The aviators are warm and full sounding, but just not as loud. If you looking for a great balance between style and sound quality, these are probably your best bet, if you’re willing to shell out the 150 bucks, which is probably only as much as it is because it’s got the Rocnation label on it as well. Skullcandy scored big with these, and would probably sell a lot more if they were 50 bucks cheaper, which i think is what these puppies are really worth.

contact skullcandy. these headphones have a lifetime warranty and they will replace them for free when they break.

I got these for my birthday (early march) and it’s now May 28th, and mine have lasted fine. The sound is just as great and the bendable piece has been fine.
Mine just broke yesterday though, but I think it was my fault not anything to do with the headphones.
The headphone jack just kinda snapped. I’m hoping it’s fixable, because we can’t afford to replace them, but I’m trying not to worry too much. Just be careful pulling them out of ipods and laptops and such is all I’d say. And always unplug them and store them away.

I got the brown and gold headphones today and man these things are sexy. I’ve gotten so many compliments on them on the train ride home alone and I’ve only had them 3 hours. They sound hot, look hot and they just kill it! Thanks for writing the review, I absolutely agree!

Does the bass overpower the music itself? That’s usually an issue I find with Skullcandy over-ear headphones

Have recently bought the aviators, I am a big supporter of scullcandy, I absolutly love these headphones. I just bought them while on vacation and wore them on the 6 hour flight home and they sounded great and were extremely comfortable. These a woth the price. Buy them.
