Future Launches 100% Recycled Fins

It’s good to see all ends of the surf industry trying to be more eco friendly and using recycled materials. Future Fins is the latest company to do so with their new Futures Recovery Project.

Futures is proud to be the first to release an environmentally friendly fin made from 100% post-industrial recycled material. This material would have ended up in a landfill, but now it has a second life as a set of fins for Futures team rider Rob Machado’s new Channel Islands model, the “Motorboat”. These fins are part of the Futures Recovery Project, an ongoing commitment to mindfulness and sustainability. With the Recovery Project, Futures is able to reduce our carbon footprint through the recovery and reintroduction of 100% of our fin scrap material. This is all done in house at our California facility.
