Surfers in Boscombe, England must be siked today as the official word that their brand new artificial reef is now open. It took 55 giant sandbags laid on the ocean bottom to fill the size of a full football field to create what every surfer dreams of at their local beach break. Apparently the reef will turn what would have been an unrideable knee high wave into a reeling head high wall of goodness. Hopefully one of these days we can get something like this built in NY.
