Lions March In: Nor’easter Slams New York
This past weekend saw one hell of a storm in the Mid-Atlantic and Northeast. A severe Nor’easter swept up the coast and slammed Long Island all day Saturday and into Sunday dumping inches of rain and producing winds of up to 75mph. I guess we got a little tast of what it would be like if a weak Category 1 Hurricane rolled through the area. Most of Long Island was without power all day Sunday and will be for a few more days. There were down trees, telephone poles, and wires all over causing some neighborhoods to look like a disaster area. The ocean was mean and angry on Saturday with severe storm conditions and early Sunday was much of the same. As the wind turned and went more offshore, it cleaned up a little bit and if you were ballsy enough to paddle out and battle the insane drift, there were some bombs to be had.
