The Association of Surfing Professionals (ASP) announced the new 2014 World Championship Tour (WCT) lineup yesterday, revealing three new stops for the women. The 2014 women’s tour includes 9 stops, unveiling new events at Trestles, Hossegor and Fiji, which coincide with the men’s contests.

ASP Women’s World Tour Manager, Jessi Miley-Dyer said, “2014 will see the most talented collective of female surfers ever assembled in the ASP Top 17 and the new tour schedule is befitting of their talent. The new ASP management has an unprecedented dedication to providing a quality platform upon which the world’s best female surfers can perform and that’s evident in the addition of major events to the 2014 schedule. Next year will be the most exciting year in the history of women’s surfing thus far, without a doubt.”

Unfortunately, it seems like the women still haven’t solidified an event in Hawaii during the Vans Triple Crown. While the addition of these new events is a step in the right direction, we’d totally like to see the girls surf in Hawaii.

The ASP introduced the Bali event at Keramas last year, leading to some pretty perfect waves and a lot of 10-point rides. We’re glad to see it again on tour this year. However, it looks like Fiji Pro and the Bali Pro don’t have solid sponsorships locked in yet.

“As our transitional year draws to a close and we look ahead to 2014, we’re very excited by the passion, enthusiasm and interest with which our athletes and events as well as new and core media and sponsorship partners have supported us with,” Paul Speaker, ASP CEO, said in a press release. “Our foundational media platform with Google YouTube, Facebook/Instagram and ESPN is in place and we’ll be announcing our respective international linear broadcast partners in the coming weeks.”

Who do you think will pick them up? Oakley? Volcom? Comment with your guess.
