This was going to be a preview post for the Quiksilver Pro Gold Coast and I was going to discuss the first event of the 2011 ASP World Tour and all that good stuff, but since it’s already tomorrow in Australia, I’ve got to skip all that and tell you that the contest is ON! Ahhhh, timezones! It’s just about 8am in Australia and Round 1 heats of the Men’s competition are in the water at Snapper Rocks and surfing in clean 2 – 4 foot waves. They plan on running all of the round 1 heats and then hopefully kick off the Women’s heats afterwards.

Sorry I don’t have more of a post for ya but below are the Round 1 heat matchups and we’ll have some more coverage as the contest continues in the coming days.
