Stephanie Gilmore has been on the Women’s World Tour for 4 years. In those four years, she’s taken the crown of world champ every single year. Four years on tour. Four world championships. How many other athletes in the world have accomplished something like that? Not even the all mighty Kelly Slater holds that kind of record.

Steph locked up the 2010 World Title this morning at Middles after defeating Melanie Bartels in the quarterfinals. After the excitement of winning the title and celebrating, she still had to face 2005 World Champ, Chelsea Hedges in the semi-finals. Stephanie went on to beat Chelsea and also beat Carissa Moore in the finals which means she also won the Rip Curl Pro Search Puerto Rico. What a day for the 22 year old from Australia.

Good on ya Steph and good luck in Hawaii!
