Garrett McNamara Surfs 100 Ft Wave In Portugal

Nazare, Portugal was pumping again yesterday with record high swell and Garrett McNamara was there, just like last year. If you haven’t seen the pictures floating around by now, you must have your head stuck in the sand. The Guardian reported that McNamara rode a 100-foot wave, which is a little bigger than last year. Mark Healey’s Mavericks Left on GoPro

The swell at Mavericks on Sunday was definitely something to watch. For those in the Mavericks Invitational, it was where adrenaline met nervousness and stoke. Mark Healey, who’s known for pushing boundaries, dropped in a heavy barrel and went left… a feat thought impossible by most. Healey’s lefts made for some of the best rides of the whole day.
