Longboarding is undeniably a lost art form. Most shortboarders get annoyed when longboarders are in the lineup. But they are wave artists. They don’t need to speed down the line searching for a ramp to execute a slob grab. Longboarders slow it down and enjoy the ride. They are about style, flow and technique. It’s probably the purest form of surfing and it deserves a lot more credit than it receives. Rip Curl Pro Portugal Heat Match Up And Wildcards
RipCurl recently announced 22-year-old Dillon Perillo (USA) from California as the first wildcard for the event. PV Laborde (FRA) secured the other wildcard by taking first place in the Moche trials at Supertubes today. They will have a chance to take out reigning champion Adriano De Souza (BRA) as the waiting period for the contest begins tomorrow. More »
