Quiksilver Pro Gold Coast is ON!
This was going to be a preview post for the Quiksilver Pro Gold Coast and I was going to discuss the first event of the 2011 ASP World Tour and all that good stuff, but since it’s already tomorrow in Australia, I’ve got to skip all that and tell you that the contest is ON! Ahhhh, timezones! It’s just about 8am in Australia and Round 1 heats of the Men’s competition are in the water at Snapper Rocks and surfing in clean 2 – 4 foot waves. They plan on running all of the round 1 heats and then hopefully kick off the Women’s heats afterwards. More »

Body Glove Signs Jamie O’Brien
Yesterday, the self proclaimed punk of surfing, Jamie O’Brien, signed a 3 year contract with Body Glove. This is great news for Jamie since he hasn’t had an apparel and wetsuit sponsor since he was on Rusty more then a year ago. More »
Shark Attack on Reunion Island
About 2 weeks ago, we posted the 2010 International Shark Attack Report and absent from the list was the country of France. Looks like they will be making the list for 2011 as a surfer was attacked by a shark this past Saturday while surfing off the coast of Reunion Island. More »
