Holy Shit Balls…

June 30th, 2010 by John Zanussi

…is what was going through my mind after watching this video! Two dudes in a shark cage trying to get footage of a great white feeding. The shark grabs the bait, rolls it’s eyes back, and swims blindly into the viewport of the cage. Since great white sharks cannot swim backwards, this one decided it was going to rip apart the shark cage with the two guys still in it. Enough said, just watch! More »

Andy Irons hits the powder

June 30th, 2010 by John Zanussi

I know summer just started and no one wants to think about snowboarding and the winter but this video is pretty entertaining. Andy Irons takes some time off from surfing to hit up the mountains in Wyoming at Jackson Hole to do some snowboarding. It’s always exciting to watch a World Champ switch sports. It’s also pretty funny to watch him eat it and do a few cartwheels. More »

Alex is right on the border of hurricane status, packing winds of 75mph and gusts of 85mph, making him a very weak Category 1. More »

Naff le Skell T-Shirts First Look and Interview

June 29th, 2010 by John Zanussi

New York photographer Matt Clark has been working quietly on his new project for some time now. It’s called Naff le Skell and it is a line of t-shirts designed by Matt himself. These aren’t your typical “surf brand” shirts with a colorful logo and some waves on them. The shirts included in the summer line have a real fresh and unique feel to them. I’ve already ordered two and can’t wait until some new designs drop. Clark has definitely put a lot of time into the collection and it really shows in the designs. We asked him a few questions about Naff le Skell, like how he got started with the shirts and where the name came from. We’ve also got a full gallery of photos he took of the collection while on a surf trip in Nicaragua. The shirts are currently on sale online and in select stores. More info, the whole interview, and the gallery can be seen after the jump…. More »

June 25th, 2010 by John Zanussi

Up here in the Northern Hemisphere we were just given the gift of the official start of summer a few days ago. Down south, way down south, the seasons are opposite and they were just handed the beginning of winter. If you’re in Australia, specifically on the Gold Coast you know that with the cold winter weather there’s also been some excellent waves the past week or so. More »
